Why is Killing people on games so addictive?
I play Halo 3 and Call Of Duty 4. Why is it so addictive shooting an animated person?

- because u can't do it in real life
- Because we release our aggression through killing animated things, also know as Catharsis.
- It's the whole forbidden fruit primal urge thing, you can't do it in reality due to morality or laws, but you can do it in a game as many times as you want, hence it is appealing to you. It's also the reason I play games like Twisted Metal, Call of Duty, and Mercenaries 2.
- IDK but it's the reason I don't hunt. When people ask me I tell em"When I can hunt humans I'll take to the sport until then count me out"
- video games are a fantasy environment, designed and created to allow us a release from the stresses of our everyday lives. it is only logical then that being able to do something we CAN'T do in real life would bring you lots and lots of happiness (I.E killing people)
