What are some highly addictive Playstation2 games I should buy.?

I like many different types of games, but the best games are the ones that are robotically addictive and semi-challenging. I had a PS2 then it broke. I havn't had one for 4 years now. What are some newer than 5 or 6 years old games i should check out please?

5. if you are a hardcore player i advise god of war 1 and 2, smackdown VS raw 2008, GTA:san andreas & desert storm (conflict global terror) these are the most popular games and they say that god of war 3 will soon be available on (ps3)... otherwise there are many other games like: (pes 2008)&(tom and jerry) so on...
